This virtual office provides a foundation for the acquisition community that
allows the government to better communicate with the general public, manage the
acquisition data internally, and share information seamlessly with existing
applications.
The Virtual Office of Acquisition (VOA) will initially consist of the Supplier
Relationship Transformation Portal. VA recognizes that our Supplier community is
a significant partner in addressing critical acquisition issues. This portal
facilitates an easy and open exchange of information from the Supplier community
to key VA decision makers.
In the near future, VOA will provide a customer portal and post contract award listings. It will also include a number
of innovative electronic support systems to sustain the acquisition community,
as well as, the framework to support these programs. These systems will
integrate with the VA’s Electronic Contract Management System to improve the
entire acquisition lifecycle.
